Full-Scale Deployment to Approximately 60 Clients Following Company-Wide Training
After the initial year of operation with five companies, Kompass Accounting became convinced of the significant benefits of GLASIAOUS. As a result, in 2023, the company rapidly expanded its adoption to nearly 60 client companies.
Regarding this decision, Kobayashi explained:
"Continuing to use the previous accounting software alongside GLASIAOUS would have resulted in duplicated operations and knowledge management. Therefore, we aimed to fully transition to GLASIAOUS as quickly as possible."
However, GLASIAOUS was a new tool for the staff. How did the company successfully implement GLASIAOUS without causing issues due to unfamiliar operations or resistance to major workflow changes?
One of the key factors in ensuring a smooth transition was Kompass Accounting's strong management structure. With Thai managers and team leaders effectively managing Thai staff, the company created an environment where the decision to overhaul the accounting system was recognized as a shared responsibility among employees. Kobayashi also made it a point to actively engage with managers, addressing their concerns and maintaining frequent communication throughout the transition.
A major driver of this "sense of ownership" among staff was the training program conducted in collaboration with B-EN-G headquarters and B-EN-G Thailand. Over three sessions, all employees, from managers to staff, participated in structured training sessions. Q&A sessions were conducted smoothly in Thai, facilitating skill acquisition for effective GLASIAOUS utilization and drawing attention to the system’s extensive features.
"While most of employees attended online, we also arranged on-site sessions for some managers. This initiative not only helped develop team leaders but also enabled our staff to independently address day-to-day questions regarding GLASIAOUS operations." (Kobayashi)
By transitioning its outsourcing service platform to GLASIAOUS, Kompass Accounting has begun to see significant changes in its client relationships.
"We no longer need to send Excel data to our clients. Instead, clients can now access GLASIAOUS directly, reducing our data processing workload and shortening the time required to provide information. This also enables a smoother transition to financial statement reviews. We will be able to flexibly respond to client requests, such as sharing real-time sales and invoicing data, allowing for a more efficient division of roles between us and our clients." (Kobayashi)
Kobayashi is also keeping a close eye on the upcoming AI features in GLASIAOUS.
"We plan to leverage AI not only to enhance communication with clients and within our company but also to automate various processes, including document reading and journal entry creation in the future."
With this vision, Kompass Accounting continues to evolve its accounting outsourcing services, aiming to deliver even greater value to its clients.
